Tunnel Access Restricted as NFCRs Deploy Underground

The RDCA has reinforced its ongoing containment efforts following last night’s high-level pursuit of the Anomalies known as MEL-887 and VSMR-131. Keepers had successfully isolated the pair in an alleyway in the Hive District, closing off all escape routes. Yet despite overwhelming force, the Anomalies once again evaded capture, disappearing without a trace.

Authorities now believe the fugitives may have entered the tunnel network beneath Forager City, a move that would normally guarantee swift containment. The tunnel systems are highly regulated, with active monitoring and strict access protocols in place to prevent unauthorized entry. Without proper guidance, navigation would be nearly impossible.

In response, the RDCA has ordered the immediate closure of multiple tunnel sectors, with specialized search teams mobilized for network searching and system scans. The NFCR units, also known as Enforcers, the long-legged, multi-limbed spider-like bots that operate under Keeper control, have been sent underground to hunt down the Anomalies. The TETRAs, typically responsible for excavation and structural maintenance, remain in the network but have been reassigned to assist with the search rather than their usual routine maintenance.

“The public should rest assured that the situation is under control,” an RDCA official stated. “Every possible escape point is being monitored, and operations underground are progressing efficiently. It is only a matter of time.”

Despite the RDCA’s confidence, some analysts question how MEL-887 and VSMR-131 have remained at large for so long. Prolonged exposure to tunnel conditions without support would pose significant challenges, further narrowing the likelihood of extended movement. While details remain classified, sources suggest that no irregularities have been detected in the tunnel network’s security systems. This strongly indicates that if the Anomalies did enter, they had a source of help from inside the tunnel network.

Still, as search efforts continue, the RDCA urges all citizens to remain vigilant. Any unusual activity should be reported immediately at the nearest Keeper outpost. Additional security checkpoints may be implemented in key districts to ensure citywide stability.

For now, the situation remains unchanged. The Anomalies are still at large. But for how much longer?

This is a developing report.
